It was actually really hard to pick a link on this one, because all the reviews are so incredibly positive about this movie. Then today, the always-on-it Margaret Lyons at the NYT throws the same reco out there. Twice in two days? Seems like there’s a bandwagon around here, somewhere. Let’s all jump on!
This headline here isn’t just that Anna Kendrick has a new show on HBO Max that people are buzzing about… it’s how the show is coming out. They’re dropping new episodes in three-show pulses – and putting them out mid-week. Might not sound like a big deal, but it’s half way between a full season drop and a weekly episode, and people (at the Chron, anyway) are loving it.
Take a weekly trip to San Francisco’s Stern Grove this summer – at least on YouTube – as they play back some of their great performance. Here’s a link to Week 1, and you can count on a little Father’s Day Funk on their channel this Sunday. Put it on and turn it up!
