Another ESPN Must-Watch!
Hot on the heels of the epic “The Last Dance” doc about Michael Jordan and the Bulls, ESPN delivers a new Bruce Lee doc “Be Water,” also to very good reviews. Let USA Today tune you in so you might tune it in this week.

This great virtual ceremony honoring the class of 2020 will now debut a day later to give space for the George Floyd protests. If you’ve got a graduating senior, try to make this a part of your plans. It’s been a hard year, and they need the extra respect, love and appreciation this show offers.
Seriously, this roundup is so long, you could probably just binge the trailers. But it’s full of a mix of classics and unsung heroes – the well-reviewed 2016 remake of Pete’s Dragon, anyone? – that it totally deserves your attention. Attend, thee!
When the nuts over at PCMag start their family-tilting list with the complete Carol Burnett show and end with Lin-Manuel Miranda and Freestyle Love Supreme, well… guess I’m a nut, too. Serve yourself up a surprise this weekend!
Here’s an eclectic little batch of suggestions that is worth a quick look. From social commentary to supernatural chillers to straight up comedy, there are some really interesting choices to match any mood this weekend. Be good out there!
The AV Club has always had it going on, and they really deliver (again) with the damn good slideshow of upcoming films. I beg you… at least tap in to the list and get as far as the Freestyle Love Supreme trailer from Hulu. You’ll learn a lot about the amazing creativity that came before both Hamilton and The Heights. Trust me…
This great slideshow from Stacker is cool to keep around for your next journey off-world. It has ratings for each, though doesn’t point to the when and where’s of streaming them, unfortunately. (We hope to offer that at Bingelandia soon, btw.) Still, a great, great list to keep close at hand. Check out the top 50 and see if you agree!
Don’t you think, at the very least, it’s worth going back and watching Inception just one more time? I mean, the whole thing is inside the dream of the flight attendant who is handing out blankets, isn’t it? A great list of June faves from Inverse, people:)
Is bingeing on a playlist of cello music really a binge at at? Well, if bingeing is diving into something and gobbling up, even in five minutes chunks, then yes it is! The cello has a unique and amazing voice, with a higher range than most people think. And like the violin and viola, its expressiveness can be thought of as similar to that of a human voice. There’s 90 minutes of music here that you can play right now. Thanks for sharing such beauty and brains, NYT!
No, it’s not new. But everything you’ve heard is true – Our Planet is astounding. The photography is unbelievably amazing. The music is surprising and sublime. And the story of our planet – and why we can’t take the stability of nature for granted anymore – is more timely than ever. If you haven’t seen it, watch it with your kids. It will change your thinking, and maybe your lives. AND it’s on Netflix and YouTube now.
Seriously, click the link and watch the trailer. A good friend in LA turned me on to this show, and it is the exact reason –along with a whole lot of other great and interesting shows – you should consider getting Hulu now!
School’s out – though it was only sort of in – and your kids need to be fed! Be fed awesome, interesting shows, that is. This one from Good Housekeeping gets my seal of approval for mixing it up with something for everyone. Some are new, some are old and all are worth checking out!
