Follow the Money… and Pass It Along!
Here’s one I found. A strange little bunch of protests songs by a band that doesn’t seem to exist. Sure beats Demi Lovato for Trump-busting protest literacy, though.
Now we’re talking. Or listening, at least. Musicals, musical biopics and streaming concerts are getting hot, so wire up the good speakers and get to it.

It just doesn’t seem to be within my arsenal to come up with a proper term for bingeing jazz – so have at it – but taking a tour of a year’s best albums is binge-worthy, nonetheless. Check out the vibraphone vibes, cats!
And while we’re talking Hamilton, remember to get to the booth, ballot box or blue mail box where it happens. Should I pick sides? Hell yeah… Vote ’em all out/ They’ve all been sucked in/ Think twice before you choose a Trump Republican…
Hamilton is a creative tour de force on so many levels – including a window in on the creative process. My daughter turned me on to this alt. version of Burn. Fascinating, so listen and think! Imagine how this version would have changed the entire second half of the show. And then let YouTube play on… you may get the first performance of the Hamilton theme song at the White House next.
The “5 Minutes That Will Make You Love…” series at the NYT is genius. This has lunch binge written all over it, people! I highly, highly encourage you to check this out, if only to get a taste of the series.
I’m not exactly saying that this is flying under the radar, but… DON”T LET THIS FLY UNDER YOUR RADAR! In fact, let’s make it the Pin of the Week, just so you don’t:) Starting to feel like NYT West out here, but they bring the goods with a great review of this amazing show.
Live performances are cancelled at the SF Opera, of course, but this streaming series has great productions from the vault – like Attila and The Marriage of Figaro – for you each weekend. Hit the link for the synopsis of each show AND a digital playbook. Nice!
While I imagine none over us would say we consciously took Eddie for granted, I think we always just expected him to be there, like a mountain or a sea. So click over to his 12 top solos, compiled nicely by the NYT, and appreciate the majesty of what he gave us over the years.
There’s always good music, other there waiting to binge! So get your weekend going with a song. Thanks again to LiveNation for putting this weekly guide together for us all.
Play it now, or bookmark it later. However your Sunday flows, here’s a link you should have at the ready. Top Southern Rap, Tiny Desk style!
It’s so sad that we can’t Fest like normal this year, but that doesn’t mean we can’t Fest! Get your people together and let Lyrics Born be your guide to some of the greatest hits of SF’s great Outside Lands. Yes, we can do this!
The music never stops! But the awesome Stern Grove SF Best of the Fest does end this week, gentle listeners. So tune in to their Facebook page or just follow the link to see how you can watch on TV. It’s a great line-up, and you deserve some Sunday music in your life:)
