More for You and Mom!
In our last post, we passed along a list for movies to share with Mom (via Zoom, Netflix Party on Chrome), and here’s another good list from ET. Very little overlap, so check ’em both out!
Sit down together with shows that are satisfying for adults and kids alike. Find the shows that make family time fun for everyone.

Make this Sunday night family time with this super fun line-up of singers and great Disney songs. We’ve got some John Legend and Jennifer Hudson. We’ve got some Katy Perry. We’ve got some Halsey. See the whole line-up here!
Wish I’d written that headline, but it’s straight from JK. But take both of our words for it and jump to this story from USA Today to get the skinny on how you can hear a chapter-by-chapter celebrity reading of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.” Fun stuff for everyone. Boredom, be gone!
This one offers less of a May the Fourth guide and more of a mindset as we binge along into the C-19 night. The CNN crew takes you right into the Hero’s Journey itself to offer a shed a little light on the value of great escapism in times like these. Let the escape begin!
Honestly, how can you resist this double-feature dandy? The stars are different, the songs are different and even the story seems a little different. But both versions are on Netflix this month, so plan your night and decide for yourself – who’s the One and Only Willy Wonka?
Well, this has pure joy written all over it. This Saturday at noon EST, the Beatles will be streaming the sing-along version of Yellow Submarine worldwide. So call all your friends, kick open the windows, fire it up and belt out the hits together! Especially, All You Need is Love, y’all!
This is so great from Broadway Cares – and another turn on from a friend in NYC! It starts with a touching 8-minute message before diving into the show, which is thrilling. But don’t skip the opening –it’s so important for us all to hear from each other right now – and consider donating, if you can.
This is a super great find from a super great friend. (Big shout out to Beth in NYC!) Seriously, even if you just make a two minute binge out of this, it’ll be two minutes incredibly well spent. Try the Jellyfish…
After watching as many cooking shows as I could stomach with my daughter, I was looking for something new for us to watch together. This show on SyFy is a delight! Same structure… teams answer challenges from experts… but the goal here is to build creatures, not bake cakes. It’s no exactly new, but sure new to us. So far, so great.
This three-day festival in Golden Gate Park in SF is far more than just bluegrass. And they kindly record shows and keep them up in their archives for all. Fill your house with music and feel good! No waiting!
In case ya didn’t know. In case you hadn’t heard. Amazon is doing families a serious solid by putting shows out there for free, and TechCrunch did everyone the kindness of passing along the word.
