CNN’s great monthly slideshow is just what you need for lots of options – with quick synopses – that will keep you from watching Infinity Wars for the 10th time. Been there. So grab your laptop, plop down on the couch and find something NEW this month!
Yours truly has been on a bit of a vacation the past two weeks – miss me? – but August is here and the hits keep coming! Let’s start with TV guides simple (but comprehensive) mega-list for what’s hitting the streamers. Shall we…?
Yes, the month is half over, but they doesn’t mean you’ve seen it all yet! I mean, maybe you have, but the slideshow from CNN might still be a good little way for you to see if there’s anything you’ve missed. It’s possible…
And the write-up from NYT ain’t half bad, either? Are we ready for this? If it’s your cup of tea, a new pot will be ready to pour Wednesday night!
I’ve been posting these for awhile, and they’re great. This link takes you to a 20 minutes performance by Norah Jones, but then you can jump to the Livenation.com to get a full list of performance for the 4th of July weekend… and beyond!
When you want your content curated, you can’t beat the NYT. It may not be the most complete list, but the reviews are tight and the picks are right on time. As I always say, keep your eye on the Times!
CT Post brings a nice one that marches through movies first, which makes for a nice quick read. I mean, how else would Space Balls park right in there with Schindler’s List? Take a peek and find a weekend fave!
I have to say, I thought including the Market Watch guide to bingeworthy new content in July would be a fun little extra. But this list is for REAL! Not only do you get great recos and trailers, but the Watch breaks down the cost of each service, and whether now is the time to play or pause. Props, Market Watch! You’ve got the Pin of the Week!
If you’re loving Hulu more and more, Mashable is here to stoke your fire. There are certainly one or two new shows to add to your list of bingeworthy titles – perhaps the hilariously clueless vampires in What We do in the Shadows? – so give it a quick read!
It was actually really hard to pick a link on this one, because all the reviews are so incredibly positive about this movie. But this one from Fast Company captures the context of this movie at this time in a thoughtful way. But all you really need to do is hit the link, watch the trailer and then search it out on Amazon Prime or your favorite streamer.
This headline here isn’t just that Anna Kendrick has a new show on HBO Max that people are buzzing about… it’s how the show is coming out. They’re dropping new episodes in three-show pulses – and putting them out mid-week. Might not sound like a big deal, but it’s half way between a full season drop and a weekly episode, and people (at the Chron, anyway) are loving it.
